Camden Civic Centre
Last updated Friday, 26 Nov 2010.The Civic Centre was first built in1982 as a community theatre and performance facility. The venue is recognised as a community centre for a range of functions including the celebration of significant events, the staging of large scale cultural performances, exhibitions and displays, a civic venue for the hosting of civic receptions and official functions, the council chambers for the conduct of community meetings, a corporate facility for training days and conferences and the provision of meeting and event space for community groups. The Civic Centre is recognised as an affordable and accessible catered facility, and the centre is currently working toward a greater cultural program of events.
Additional purpose: Gallery space, training facility, performance space/stage, in house sound and lighting provisions, commercial catering and beverage provisions, art hanging provisions including plinths
