Berowra Community Centre

Last updated Friday, 26 Nov 2010.

A public meeting was held on 19 August 1975 to discuss a proposal for a community centre in Berowra. Consequently, Council appointed a committee from a wide range of local organisations to investigate this proposal. The committee reported back to Council in 1976, and Council decided to proceed. The Berowra Community Centre was opened by Councilor Don Evans, Shire President, on 6 September 1980. In 2009, in response to community demand, works were undertaken at the Centre to improve its capacity for theatre and musical performances. In addition, foyer space was altered to allow an opportunity for local artists to exhibit works through the provision of a permanent gallery and lighting system.

Additional purpose: Auditorium, stage with wings and dressing rooms, foyer with gallery system and bar, two meeting rooms
